I was reviewing one of my favorite real estate forums (realestateforum.com) and came across a posting by a member who goes by RogueDomains. He had noted that prices for domain names will be heading their way up. He noted that Verisign will be raising registry fees that they charge domain registrars. Dot com wholesale prices will be going up from $6.42 to $6.86 which is an increase of 7%. Dot net’s will be increasing from $3.85 to $4.23 which is about a 10% increase. So, if you have been thinking about renewing your domain or have had plans to register new domains you will want to do that before October 1st as this is the date of the planned pricing increase.
